If you haven’t tried air fryer pork chops then, you’re missing out because they are so tasty and fast to make, you’d swear it’s magic. Crispy yet soft and juicy on the inside, you can enjoy a perfect meal paired with your favourite side dish.
Choose a couple of pork chops that would fit in your air fryer. Depending on the size of your device you can fit more than a couple.
Ingredients:
- 2 or 4 pork chops (use 1 per person)
- 1 tablespoon of seasoning for each pork chop
- 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil of your choice
Instructions:
Use a silicone brush, or your fingers to coat each pork chop with oil. It’s not a definite requirement to use oil but it will make them crispier.
This little amount of oil will also help hold the seasoning better which you’ll sprinkle right on top of the oil. Make sure to cover each side of the pork chop with about a tablespoon of seasoning.
The amount of seasoning can vary depending on how big the pork chop is or how spicy you might want it.
Place the porks chops in the air fryer baking basket and be sure not to overcrowd it. That means you should not put the pork chops on top of each other.
If you plan on making more air fryer pork chops than you can fit then just cook separately. Overcrowding the device makes it harder to get your meal cooked properly.
Cook for about 12 minutes at 200 degrees. Halfway through the cooking go check on them and also turn them around.
When they’re done serve them with air fryer potatoes or other side dishes you enjoy.
Types of seasoning to use with air fryer pork chops:
- Garlic and herbs such as thyme, sage, or rosemary
- Curry powder
- Paprika
- Salt and pepper (you can never go wrong with these two)
Tips
If you use frozen pork chops you might have to cook them at 240 degrees for about 3 minutes on each side. It will depend on the thickness and size.
Mix and match the seasoning as you see fit. You can make barbecue or spicy curry mix.
