- 1 egg
- 120 milliliters milk
- 4 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 200 g plain flour
- 100 g sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
Beat the egg with a whisk or fork, while adding the milk and oil.
Mix the flour separately with sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Right now you can mix everything together, the wet and dry parts. Use the whisk to slowly mix everything together.
You should get a moist batter with lumps. Lumpy is ok, overmixing it will not be good for baking as it will make the muffing crumbly.
Pour batter in a muffin tray lined with baking paper cups or baking paper, trying to evenly fill each cup.
Bake at 150 degrees celsius for 20-25 min.
For a chocolaty muffin put a couple of teaspoons of cocoa in the batter.
Add some frozen berries or chocolate chips to give the muffins a twist.
