Doubletree cookies were famously served at the DoubleTree Hilton hotel and the recipe was a carefully guarded secret until recently due to travel bans.

- 226 g or two stick of unsalted room temperature butter
- 161 g white granulated sugar
- 152 g packed light brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- half a teaspoon of lemon juice
- 282 g white flour
- 52 g rolled oats
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon fine salt
- a pinch of cinnamon
- 233 g chocolate chips
- 200 g chopped walnuts
Cream butter and sugar together with a mixer for 2 minutes. Add the vanilla and eggs, beat on low speed until fluffy for 30 seconds to 2 minutes.
Mix flour, oats, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon and add to the wet part of the mix, don’t overmix.
Add the chocolate chips and chopped walnuts and gently fold them into the dough.
To shape the cookies, take a 3 tablespoon-sized dough and roll it into a ball. Place 6 or 8 cookie balls on a baking sheet and pan, 2 inches apart.
Bake 15-22 minutes at 150 degrees celsius.
